Alvaro Castro, Dão Rosé 2022

Alvaro Castro is one of the most celebrated wine growers in the Dão region of Portugal. Focusing on fresher, aromatic styles of wine, Alvaro only uses indigenous grape varieties and traditional techniques to create wines full of balance and integrity. Dão Rosé 2022 is made from a blend of Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Alfrocheiro, Touriga Nacional and Baga from vines all aged between 15-45 years old. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness in the wine. A lovely, refreshing rosé with vibrant tropical fruit notes, juicy raspberry and strawberry flavours. The fruitiness of the nose follows onto the vibrant palate - a bit of summertime in a glass.
